Nasreen Sajady in Weekend Worship

  • The Table MPLS 4100 Lyndale Avenue South Minneapolis, MN, 55409 (map)

As we continue through our sermon series on our values, this weekend we talk about what it means to be justice-driven. We are honored and delighted to welcome Nasreen Sajady and her husband Arash as our guests. Nasreen is a cofounder of the Afghan Cultural Society here in Minnesota, in addition to being an activist, community organizer, microbiologist, educator, and founder of Brewing Change, a nonprofit which advocates for BIPOC in the brewing industry.

Debbie will interview Nasreen and her husband Arash about the history of Afghanistan, the displacement of Afghan people across the world, their personal stories, as well as how we can be allies to refugees arriving in Minnesota.

We are back in the Sanctuary at Bethlehem Lutheran, where masks are required for all people regardless of vaccination status.
